Speaker Spotlight: Ryan Duff of Fusionized Technology

Ryan Duff, WordCamp Raleigh SpeakerRyan has been working with WordPress since early 2004 and was the original author of WordPress Contact Form. As a long time community member, he enjoys exploring new ways to make use of WordPress. Making things simple for clients is the core of that. Customizing the admin section, creating custom meta boxes, custom post types and admin dashboard widgets all come together for a seamless experience for them. Ryan is a SysAdmin and long-time Linux user who likes to hack things to make repeated tasks simpler. Virtualization, configuration management, and version control software are some of the tools in his arsenal. He began making websites since the age of 12 and has been using PHP for almost 10 years.

Ryan will be presenting on the topic of Extending CPT: Custom Meta Boxes and Admin Dashboard Widgets in the Developers track.  Here’s an extract from what you can expect to hear from Ryan:

An extension of my talk at #wcphx, I want to dive into the world of custom Meta boxes and show you how to leverage them to make a client’s site extremely flexible.

I’ll also highlight how to make things very easy for your clients enter data into WordPress. The less clicks a client has to make, the happier they are.
