There are a few APIs that every plugin and theme developer should be using to simplify their code when working with WordPress. Learn about the HTTP API, the new Widget Class, and a few others that are new and useful.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bio:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jacob has been a WordPress core community programmer since September 2007 and worked on the WordPress inline documentation, HTTP API, plugin API, and various other bugs and optimizations. <\/p>\n

In addition to working on the WordPress project itself, Jacob has worked with setting up WordPress at his current job for the past few years. He’s also the company “expert” since no other programmer wants to work on WordPress.<\/p>\n

Jacob has also presented in the past for WordCamp Dallas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
