I’m so excited personally to announce this year’s Keynote speaker: Bridget Willard. In addition to being one of my favorite people in the WordPress space, she’s one of the most engaging speakers I’ve heard at a WordCamp.<\/p>\n

Bridget Willard, Keynote Speaker for WordCamp Raleigh 2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>Bridget Willard is a marketing consultant and educator with a passion to help small businesses. She began in construction, and worked in franchise development, nonprofits, and tech. She is known for her brand building for Riggins Construction and GiveWP.<\/p>\n

She is the co-host of WPblab<\/a>, a show on the WPwatercooler network, co-organizer of Women Who WP<\/a> Meetup, and Marketing Team Rep for Make WordPress<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She writes about social media and WordPress on her site at bridgetwillard.com<\/a> and teaches social strategy on her YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

WordPress is awesome. Open Source is great. But what does that mean? It means that this free and open source software is maintained and written by a volunteer labor base. When you contribute to WordPress, that\u2019s you.<\/p>\n

With now 30% of the market share, WordPress is scaling fast — as a software and as a community.<\/p>\n

In this talk, Bridget Willard will give actionable tips to help us be mindful of our entire health: physical, emotional, and financial.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
